Your role as Senior Project Manager Operations
- Take end-to-end responsibility to manage the implementation of all technical, organizational, and commercial aspects of customer delivery projects within complex customer environments.
- Manage the entire customer delivery process from pre-sales handover to support transition and project closure.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules and statement of work (SOW), tailored to address the complexities of the customer’s environment, while maintaining alignment with internal teams.
- Secure, manage, and motivate internal, third party and customer resources to implement the project plan.
- Act as primary contact for the delivery, working closely with all stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve the delivery goals, navigating and addressing the complexities inherent in large-scale customer deployments.
- Lead and guide project team members, third party vendors and customer personnel to achieve the project deployment and readiness within the planned scope, schedule and budget.
- Continuously monitor and manage the project scope, quality, progress and customer satisfaction, in accordance with the agreed plan and SOW, and manage changes and risks.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to manage dependencies on software release schedules and feature development plans when applicable.
- Lead regular project progress calls with the customer and project team. Report status updates to the customer as well as internal teams, including BroadForward management.
- Obtain project acceptance from customer stakeholders and ensure proper completion of the project, including handover of the customer installation to the support teams.
- Work together with the Head of Operations to streamline and optimize delivery processes, specifically tailored to meet the high standards and demands of tier-1 customers.
- Initiate and drive operational improvements across the organization, working closely with the Head of Operations to ensure implementation and alignment with overarching business objectives.
Ideal candidate
- Possesses a Bachelor or Master degree in business and/or technology with PMI / IPMA / PRINCE2 / equivalent project management certifications. This role is located in the Netherlands, and we are looking for candidates who are currently living in the Netherlands (and have valid legal working visa).
- Demonstrates a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale solution delivery projects within complex customer environments, particularly within Telecom Service Provider or Enterprise customers.
- Exhibits a thorough understanding of industry standard project management methodologies and tools, as well as MS Office Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Familiarity with agile (scrum) software development methods.
- Displays strong leadership skills, capable of effectively guiding and influencing virtual / remote teams and complex customer organizations to achieve common goals, while accommodating the interests of different stakeholders (internal and external), different countries and cultures, etc.
- Shows a strong focus on project progress and customer satisfaction, with a clear drive to achieve project milestones according to the agreed plan.
- Demonstrates outstanding oral and written communications skills. Able to read, write and speak English fluently, including technical terminology.
- Exhibits a keen ability to manage multiple customers and priorities based on evolving customer and business needs.
- Based in The Netherlands, with a willingness to occasionally travel to international customer sites.
